This isn't so much of a writing tip as it is a cultural tip! In the
U.S., you are normally expected to tip your server in a restaurant. You
should tip 15% of the bill if you are pleased with the service. If you
are very pleased, then 20%.


If you pay with a credit card, they will leave a space on the bill for
you to write your tip. Write the total of your tip, add it to your food
total, then write the new total on the bill.
